Yup, it's me

Y'know, I thought it was sad enough when Subway, in fear of Quiznos, started doing toasted subs (and doing them badly) and renovating their restaurants to copy Quiznos' look. But now? Now Burger King has 'French Toast sandwiches.' Is the McGriddle really selling that well that the pathetic rip-offs have begun? I mean, sure, the McGriddle is a cool innovation that does what it's supposed to, but is Burger King really that desperate?

Also, I was poking around online, and found something that I'm pretty sure that experts have known (or at least suspected) for a while. But I could be wrong.

Before I get into the LARP write-up, I've got a meme to share with ya.

Stability results were moderately high which suggests you are relaxed, calm, secure, and optimistic.

Orderliness results were low which suggests you are overly flexible, improvised, and fun seeking at the expense too often of reliability, work ethic, and long term accomplishment.

Extraversion results were moderately low which suggests you are reclusive, quiet, unassertive, and secretive.

Okay, I've got two LARP write-ups for ya.

First, the Fae game.

Things got off the bat pretty quickly. An older guy, in his 40's, came up to the Fae hanging out at Woodburn and identified himself as Detective Tony Martin, a local cop. He asked them about the incident at the restaurant, and mentioned the recent murder of a police officer (the incident with Draven a couple months back), and they feigned ignorance until he came right out the reason why he knows anything in the first place... he's Kinain.

He said he came to them because he needed their help. Someone had been killed in a campus building, and he suspected something chimerical at work. He couldn't see the Dreaming (and was oddly uncomfortable with the notion of being enchanted). He led them to the building, where they took a look around the site (which had been largely untouched).

A bunch of stuff had been stolen from the room, and a teaching assistant had been murdered. Somehow, the detective had been able to determine that the teaching assistant had been enchanted and electrocuted with some sort of treasure (a feat that was explained at one point when he was seen talking to the body of the victim, which hadn't been picked up yet as he didn't want to disturb the scene until some 'special consultants' had looked at it). The group was also able (via Willow-Whisper to speak to a doorknob that saw the whole thing) to produce descriptions that match up with Alberti and Vincey, the Nocker and Goblin (respectively) that the Fae have previously met. They figured out that Vincey and Alberti had enchanted the teaching assistant and summoned a FUBAR to kill him and then robbed the room of certain components.

They went looking for them using Will of the Wisp. They tracked them down at the then-closed Best Buy. They found a van outside loaded with stuff that Ed proceeded to tear apart using his chainsaw, after accidentally triggering a device that stuck any piece of metal not in the hands of someone with a Fae seeming to the van, including the detective's gun. Nicolai managed to put together something real quick to allow Det. Martin to get his weapon inside.

They got into the Best Buy and found Vincey loading stuff (mostly computer stuff) into a cart, and went ahead and opened fire on him. They managed to incapacitate him, and Ivan went up and executed him in full view of a mortal hunter (played by one of our less-regular players as something of an experiment) who'd just happened to wander by.

Then they got ambushed by Alberti, who'd heard them come in, taken Vincey's weapon, and was trying to snipe them from a high shelf. They managed to take him down with some creative cantrip use (Nicolai used a FUBAR to electrify the shelf) and the weapons they had on them. Nicolai tried to finish Alberti, but couldn't, so Ivan did it and took a Nightmare as opposed to the Banality. Heh, just wait until that kicks in.

At this point, Ed had found a bunch of things in the van and used them to set the Best Buy on fire. Because that's what Ed does. Burnination. Everyone got the hell out of there, leaving the Detective wondering if he'd done the wrong thing by bringing in the Fae on this...

And now, momoku's game, The Last Midnight. I'll be brief, as he has a synopsis of his own on the board.

I'm playing a Noddist Malkavian named Simon Denis, something of a pantheist who sees the divine in everything and sees of God as 'the sire of Caine,' and has some very Lancea Sanctum-esque tendencies (which I will admit is not entirely coincedental). In an attempt to shore up some of the Sabbat's recent East Coast losses, he was one of the vampires who trekked to Morgantown (which was once a Sabbat city until the vampires disappeared three years ago) in an attempt to get a grip on it before the Cam does.

So he met up with other vampires in town, and someone came up with the idea of combing the sewers for any Nosferatu that may be in the area. Some of us, Simon included, stayed at an entrance made with sledgehammers in an alley while the rest went down. They came back up, with knowledge of a Camarilla force well-entrenched in the city.

We all tracked down the Toreador Primogen in a local club, coming up with all manner of plans to lure her out only to have the scouts sent in first bring her out. She was interrogated, beaten into submission, and then diablerized with the help of a guy acting as the current leader. With information gleaned from her, we tracked down the Ventrue Primogen. We assaulted his mansion, took out his guards, and ventured down some hallways. The hallway we were using forked. My group went one way, and the other group went, well... the other. We found a security room while they others found and beat up the Primogen. An explosion on their side of the house disrupted things enough to put my character into a trance.

They dragged him back to the Mountain Lair, interrogated him, and he was eaten as well, and that was about where things left off.

Sean and I won't be able to make it to this Saturday's session because of the Kotei, but my character's absence will be explained by saying he's trying to find a space he can swipe to use to establish a Noddist temple.

Well, I'll catch y'all later.
