Stuff and things, things and stuff
I know I've neglected this blog. I make no secret that a lot of my daily crap winds up going up on Twitter and to a lesser extent Google+
, but I have fully intended to at least keep this place as updated as I get with G+ and I'm not proud of the fact that I've kinda failed at that.
So over the last month or so, in addition to dealing with little legal difficulties I can't discuss in more detail I'd been working in a bit more of a rush than I'd like to get caught up on writing that was forcibly put off during January. My drafts are in, but I'm coping with another problem.
A couple of weeks ago, someone rammed my parked car. The bumper and trunk are messed up and one of the taillights is just obliterated. Now, I know who it is -- to her credit, the driver immediately called the cops and then came pounding at my door. Someone had run the stop sign next to where I live and almost hit her, she swerved and hit my car. Of course, I was about 5-10 minutes away from going out for a few hours, which was a royal pain in the ass. (That said, I do keep in mind that even if I'd been slightly quicker on the draw in getting ready and getting out of the house, it also means that there's a good chance I might've been sitting in the car or loading stuff into the trunk at the time.)
She has insurance, but they've been giving me grief. Apparently she screwed something up when she bought her vehicle (which was pretty recent) and her policy didn't get changed over properly or something. And her insurance company didn't care until someone filed a claim, so they've been dragging their feet on getting things lined up to get my car fixed and get me a rental in the meantime. I've been told that if I need to go ahead and rent a car they'll reimburse me for it, but as we all know that's not a long-term solution.
But my weekly schedule is completely screwed up and with it my sleep schedule as well. That combined with the terrible weather has just made me irritable all around.
This year has just been such absolute shit so far.
